A RESOURCE GUIDE FOR WORKING ARTISTS

The Pasadena Arts Council is very pleased to present this inaugural edition of ARTS PASADENA — A Resource Guide for Working Artists. Designed as comprehensive listing of local arts resources, support organizations and special interest information, this Guide will be a useful reference for visual and performing artists, staff and board members of cultural organizations and anyone looking for information on the arts in PasadenaÑfrom piano tuners and picture framers to festivals and fairs, museums and concert halls, arts organizations, fabricators, funding, advocacy and much more.

How To Use this Guide: The Guide is designed as a listing of resources for artists which will help them create, produce, present and market their art forms. The first group of entries is organized as Local ResourcesÑplaces in the Pasadena area which present, support or provide services to the arts. The next sections contain information on a wide range of other agencies, websites, publications and groups which can be contacted by mail, phone or the Internet.

In the Local Resources section, entries for Pasadena list the street address; cities outside Pasadena are indicated as follows: Alt. = Altadena, L.Can. = La Canada, S. Mar. = San Marino, S. Pas. = South Pasadena. All telephone area codes are 626 unless otherwise designated.

Is there an entry you would like to see in the next edition? The last page of the Guide is a form which can be mailed to the Pasadena Arts Council with suggestions for new entries.

We deeply value the work of visual and performing artists and arts companies in Pasadena's rich cultural community, and hope this Resource Guide is a useful tool in the process of creativity.
