VS. Theatre Company was founded in 2003 by Johnny Clark and Kimberly-Rose Wolter based on a shared passion for riveting stories and live performance in an intimate setting.  Recently named “one of the top theatre companies of the last decade” by LA Weekly, VS. strives to produce thought-provoking theatre that simultaneously challenges and entertains its audience. 

Focusing on Los Angeles premieres, VS. has produced or co-produced major contemporary playwrights including John Patrick Shanley, Stephen Adly Guirgis, John Kolvenbach, and Adam Rapp among others.  VS’ most recent production, Blackbird, was nominated for three Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards including two for Best Lead Actor and three LA Weekly Awards including Best Production.
