The Institute of the 21st Century (i21c) is dedicated to preserving and sharing Hans Ulrich Obrist’s Interview Project Archive, advocating the voices of the world’s most important artists and thinkers.

In collaboration with Obrist, i21c fosters the growth of ideas and experiments within models of collaboration and interactive dialogue and, in the long-term, seeks to fill a unique niche in the world of 21st century art by promoting critical thought through audience development. Patrons of i21c provide key support and insight during this multi-year incubation phase while i21c strives to pioneer a model network that benefits the global community.

i21c operates with a small team based in London, Los Angeles, and New York, under the auspices of the Pasadena Arts Council and with ongoing support from ForYourArt.
